KTMPO Federal Certification Review Public Input Request

Federal regulations require the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) conduct a joint transportation planning certification review at least once every four years for large metropolitan areas.

For the Killeen – Temple metropolitan area, the transportation planning process is conducted by the Transportation Planning Policy Board (TPPB) of the KTMPO. This process is done in cooperation with the region’s transportation provider (Hill Country Transit District), as well as other governments (i.e., county, city) throughout the region.

Representatives from the FHWA and the FTA conducted a Listening Session to receive public comment on the metropolitan transportation planning process on February 25, 2015. Comments are being accepted for 30 days.

Please fill out the Form and provide your responses to FHWA or FTA no later than March 27, 2015 (mailing address provided on the form).
