Obama Signs Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act

On Thursday,  December 4th, 2015, Senate approved a five-year, $305 billion highway bill that calls for spending approximately $205 billion on highways and $48 billion on transit projects over the next five years. Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act (FAST), the first long term national transportation spending package in a decade, passed by a 83-16 tally. On December 5th, President Obama signed FAST Act which allocates $225 billion from the Highway Trust Funds to highways and $60.9 billion for mass transit projects through fiscal year 2020. To read more about Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act, click on the links below.
