Waco – Starting Monday, July 8, TxDOT and its contractor will begin the construction of a new U-Turn within the SH 9 and BU 190 intersection near Copperas Cove. The project is scheduled to complete by the end of the year, weather permitting.
The new U-Turn will be constructed in the established median in between BU 190 and SH 9, and will allow eastbound SH 9 traffic to head westbound on BU 190. The U-Turn will enhance mobility in the area.
The approximately $1.2 million dollar project is being undertaken by Knife River Corp. – South. Motorists are encouraged to watch for workers in all work zones.
