Beginning Monday, February 24, TxDOT will start a safety improvement project that will install median and add pedestrian markings at BUS 190 and Avenue D (FM 1113) in Copperas Cove.
During the first phase of the project, crews will close one Bus 190 westbound lane. The westbound right-turn lane will remain open.
For the second phase, crews will reduce Avenue D to one lane each direction and will close the westbound outside lane and right-turn lane on BUS 190. A truck detour will be in place, where trucks will be directed to Robertson Drive and S Main Street.
The project, undertaken by Tight Line Construction, LLC, will cost approximately $315,000 and be complete by early Summer.
